Tea for Ability
- Date: Throughout the year
- Location: Various across the UK
Everyone loves a cuppa! Leonard Cheshire Disability’s services are hosting tea parties throughout the year to raise money to support local disabled people, and you’re invited!
If you’d like to host your own tea party to raise money for Leonard Cheshire Disability, here’s how:
1.For inspiration on how to boost the money you raise at your party check out our simple tea related fundraising ideas in our Ideas section, and for where to send the money go to the Donate section above.
“Couldn’t be easier – call up a few friends, neighbours, family – and get that kettle on for a good cup of tea. Splash out on a few packets of Jammy Dodgers and charm the assembled party to contribute generously to Leonard Cheshire Disability. A simple and refreshing way to revitalise (and enable) LCD to continue their great work with people with disabilities all over the country”
Jo Brand
Every tea party however big or small can make all the difference. Leonard Cheshire Disability supports thousands of disabled people. Our services offer disabled people a place to call home, to socialise, to learn new skills and to gain greater independence to live life the way they want to live it.
To add to the fun and boost the money you raise at your tea party why not try a few of these simple fundraising ideas:
- Guess the weight of the cake competition
- Ask local shops and businesses to donate prizes and sell raffle tickets on the day of your party
- Hold a cake decorating competition
- Give your party a fancy dress theme or dress down for the day
- Hold a Bric-a-Brac sale of donated goods and plants, alongside the tea and cakes
- Name that cuppa and hold a tea tasting competition
- Set your guests a Tea quiz
- Relax and revive your guests for a suggested donation, with the help of a trained reflexologist, masseuse or beauty therapist to give mini treatments.
