Shopping List

£5,000 is the minimum cost for making a school accessible for disabled children, including installing ramps, adapted toilets, enlarged windows and other school adaptations.

£25,000 is what it would cost to make a school accessible with all of the below as well as tackling broader issues such as health & development, poverty eradication, community attitudes, the provision of safe drinking water, sanitation and much more.

£1,000 could provide 50
adapted desks for disabled
children
£500 could provide 17 enlarged windows to improve illumination
£250 could provide training for one teacher on inclusive education
£100 provides learning materials for a disabled child i.e. abacus, reading lamp, tactile aids or a wheelchair
