We are the UK's largest voluntary sector provider of services to disabled people. Supporting thousands of people in the UK, we offer a wide and growing spectrum of services, from advice on how to access direct payments to providing rehabilitation to those with acquired brain injuries.

Our commitment to the individual

The needs and aspirations of the people who use our services are at the heart of all that we do.

We are committed to maximising personal choice and independence, and supporting each individual to draw up their own Individual Service Plan so that physical, emotional, social and personal development needs are met in a truly person-centred way.

We are fully behind the personalisation agenda and the move to self directed support. Reflecting these changes, our services are increasingly being purchased directly by disabled people looking for responsive, high quality services flexible enough to meet their individual needs.

A broad spectrum of services

We operate a network of almost 300 local services and projects across the UK. These include:

Accommodation Services – including tenancy-based supported living, registered care homes and specialist acquired brain injury rehabilitation services.

Personalised Care and Support Services – including registered care in people’s own homes.

Social, Education and Leisure Services – including day support, community outreach services, respite support and our unique Park House Hotel.

Our staff

We’re proud of our 7000 staff, all of whom go through a rigorous induction and are provided with ongoing training and supervision to ensure we continue to provide the very highest levels of support to everyone who uses our services.
