Disability Review 2009

4 November 2009

The Disability Review 2009 is the third of a series of annual UK wide surveys produced by Leonard Cheshire Disability.

The principal objective of the Review is to assess the experiences of disabled people across a number of key areas of life including: education; employment; health and social care; housing; transport and citizenship. In so doing the Review aims to provide empirical data that captures disabled people's views and allows us to observe patterns and trends rooted in actual lived experience.

It is already possible to discern some interesting developments in the data over the three years that the survey has been running, and as such the Review series serves as a powerful tool for analysis. Indeed, over a ten year period, it is hoped it will provide a key barometer of disabled people’s experiences of life in the UK.
