Lancaster Bomber in flight

Command 617 ‘Dambusters’ Squadron for a day

Leonard Cheshire Disability is proud to be the official charity of 617 Squadron, otherwise known as Dambusters, on the 70th anniversary of their famous bombing raids during World War II.

To commemorate this historic event, we are pleased to offer one lucky supporter the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the Dambusters heroes and command 617 Squadron for a day.

You will get VIP treatment, return travel and accommodation, plus the chance to brief the flight crew and engineers, plan a sortie and fly a tornado simulator.

It costs just £5 to enter and the money raised will help us to continue our vital work supporting disabled people to live as full and as rich a life as possible.

Enter our prize draw for your chance to win.

Care worker supporting a lady to put her coat on

End 15-minute care

Many disabled people rely on care and support to help them with everyday tasks that others take for granted, like getting up, washing and preparing meals.

But as councils cut costs, care workers can be asked to provide this care in just 15 minutes.

This is unacceptable. When money is tight, we must protect vulnerable people, not reduce their vital support.
